The illustrative pencils are very effective as he accomplishes this contoured tonal look with lines and doesn't smudge graphite for blending.
master level pencilings are on full display here. i know i may seem out of line, but the castle in the background looks like a quick sketch, almost a scribble, and it is perfect. congrats on another winner.
