This would have made for a good prequel to Solo. The idea is cool and executed to bring a heartwarming feel.

At the time he did this one, he had a whole line of similar, kind of a mashup of Star Wars and Calvin & Hobbs. I have some others I'm going to post that was based on a set of characters he called Wookie the Chew as a similar mashup with Winnie the Pooh and Star Wars. Really imaginitive stuff. I wish he was a little better known as some of his work is really fantastic.
