Very nice dark inks that are really smooth within the figure.

It's kind of amazing how sophisticated Smith's drawing is given that he had very little formal art training (just one class in airbrushing, I believe).  He just has a very intuitive grasp of anatomy and lighting.

It's crazy how nice and clean this is.  I know most people think of Miller when they think of DD.  But I think PMS could have had a great run on this book.

Wow... that's absolutely gorgeous.  As sleek and classic as any Great version of Daredevil ever, but with the face and jawline that is unmistakably Paul Smith.  Love to see this!  (And now I'm loving the idea of a Paul Smith Daredevil book! :) ).  Congrats, A K!  Another superb addition to your astonishing Paul Smith gallery!

Thank you very much, Bill!  Bob Wiacek was and is a great inker of Smitty's work, but I prefer Paul's inks on his own pencils.  He knows better than anyone how to preserve the unique nature of his fine pencilling.

Thats a great DD. Shame PMS never had a run on DD. He would have done a great job and IMO would have been up there with Mazz Miller and JRJR.

Thanks for the comment, Matt.  One of Smitty's first published stories was a Daredevil Christmas tale written by Roger McKenzie.  He showed a real flair for depicting ol' Hornhead even then.  I agree with you that if he had produced a sustained run on the book he would have been ranked with the luminaries you mention.
