Description

Back in early December 2021 Tom began working on a creator-owned project which he called "The Muse." Tom began with ideas put down on his sketch pad and fleshed them out later on. Interestingly to me is that although Tom had a chronology to the story he wanted to tell, he did not finish up pages in chronological order.

Tom had played around with this idea of an artist and a model for several years, and seems now a little more committed to fleshing them up. He said on Facebook on December 6th that "Warning this is pure fun for me!" and showed this preliminary for the second part of the 2nd page of his story. The first half of this 2nd Sunday page preliminary is shown in an earlier scan in this gallery.

As you can see, Tom writes his stories on his sketch pad as he's going. The final dialogue may differ, but he is putting his ideas down as he comes to them.
