DescriptionFIRST....I BUY MUKAI AND HAVE BUYERS! #1 current secondary broker for Nagel and Mukai. I RUN MUKAIMANIAC ON IG. DM ME IF YOU HAVE ANY ORIGINALS OR CINTRA PANELS TO SELLDennis Mukai, DM 09 PB The Playboy Forum Final December 1985. Original Acrylic on board, signed and dated in pen lower right. Dennis Mukai worked for Playboy for a span of approximately 18 years (1980-1998) with many mediums, painting, drawing, photography. A contemporary and friend of Patrick Nagel this is in his cartoonish pin up style which he mastered well before Nagel's death (they both created pieces like this) but Dennis quickly changed style after Nagel died into the gestural style he is most famous for because of so many Nagel copycats that were claiming this style as their own....He was afraid people would feel the same of him and made drastic changes, ultimately becoming a much more worldwide name at the time. Airbrush and acrylic. Image Measures 15" x 20". I do love the Memphis style touches on this one. I run PatrickNagelArts and MukaiManiac on Instagram.
