Description"Have you seen the solicits for Last 'Bot Standing?"This was something I had in the works since my buddy told me the premise of Last 'Bot Standing. "Old Man Rodimus", he told me. I found the cover on Previews World back in February. I guess like the Last Ronin, part of the hook is supposed to be the question of who exactly the "Last 'Bot Standing" is, but there were many Transformers fan sites that even had the Retailer Incentive cover posted on their sites back in February (which if you didn't know already, pretty much gives it away). Anyway, I promised E.J. Su that I wouldn't post this until the issue came out, so that's what I did. Part of the attraction is of course Rodimus. He's my boy. But also, E.J. is doing the interiors of the title as well, along with this cover. Oddly, the interior artist doing a cover, isn't always a given these days. I had admired many of his Ultraman pieces over the years and reached out when I saw this was coming up. The rest is history. The piece itself is oversized as all get out. 15x20. Not something that was easy to scan and join, even with a large-scale scanner. It's also on a very sturdy illustration board. Also, much to my delight, I am intrigued by the first issue of the book and am looking forward to see where it goes. Social/Sharing |

Fantastic old west frontier look to the cover painting! It promises so much for the series to explore the mettle of Rodimus as a post war grizzled old man.

What a creative looking cover. Having never read it this just sparks the imagination of what can be found inside the comic. Excellent!!!
