Description

Batman serves up a couple of knuckle sandwiches to a couple of gangster goons in this incredible Golden Age gem, which is also the first Bob Kane cover Heritage Auctions has ever served up! This cover offers a great deal of intrigue with the main focus seeming to be on Boy Wonder, Robin (co-created by Kane and Robinson), cheering from the sideline.
With the introduction of Batman only five years prior, and with Robin making his debut just two years prior, not only is this an early piece of iconography of the Dynamic Duo, but the earliest cover with the caped crusaders that Heritage has offered.
