DescriptionContinuing on with my "Title Splash Theme Week," here is a more 'modern' title splash (though already 14 years old) by Kevin Sharpe and Jay Leisten, featuring yet another fun Avengers Team line-up. As far as I'm concerned, if Spidey is a member, I'm all in! I also especially like the images of Black Panther and Cap.With the artwork covering the entire board, there really is no need for the titles that were added digitally later on. But I included the colorized page so you can see what the finished product looks like. There are some cool penciled prelim sketches on the back of the board as well. (See additional pic) Stay tuned for more title splashes later in the week! Social/Sharing |

I have zero idea who Kevin Sharpe is, but this is a cool title splash. Has sort of a Jason Pearon vibe for me. Love the job he did on Cap and Spidey. Congrats buddy!

Jack Dawson said it best. "Lose poses are the best."

Way cool, daddy-o! A much different inking style than Leisten was usually known for, so I have to assume he followed Sharpe's pencils pretty faithfully. I like that inks, especially on the Captain America figure, really have a Michael Golden vibe about them. Avengers Assemble!

Nice Paul! But even with superpowers, those giant bugs flying by my head would freak me out.

The all ages Marvel Adventures titles had even higher quality than the animation series they were meant to adapt as we get a roll call of a full Avengers line up! All part of the Marvel master plan to connect with kids through comics, cartoons and toys to the library of Marvel's greatest, amazing fantasy pieces like these are possible outside continuity.

Ideal images of America's fighting heroes and an Avengers totem pole to bring the title page to perfection!

I love when the artists put their sketches on the back of the original. Cool to see what they were thinking during their process. Great splash page, Black Panther looks diesel

Avengers Assembled...in style! I love this action splash, especially the Spidey and Ant-man. And the busts running down the left looks very cool. I like how it looks reversed, too, in the practice sketches. Very cool find. Congrats!

So much supeheroicness packed into this one! Featured shot is Cap, but you know I dig that crouching BP :) The vertical panel head shots is cool, too! Old school feel with new school art. Congrats, man!
