Description
I put these two pages together because I feel they really go together. You have a great 12 panel type of layout for each page, giving a sort of storyboard feel to the work. Giffen and DeMatteis, writing was a lot of fun for this book and the punchline to the end of the fight was gold for me. Batman is disguised as Maxwell Lord during this fight.

Great idea to post them both together, Jeffrey! I do the same thing from time to time when the storytelling calls for it. It's exactly as you say, a very storyboarding feel to it. The really nice thing about it is that the storytelling is still so clear even with a 12 panel grid layout. Great art from a classic series!

Maguire can probably convert a Bendis storyarc into 2 pages.

Yeah, that's the way comic storytelling is nowadays for the most part. The last time I worked in comics, I was amazed how the story felt stretched out and was expecting more events to be added in from the outline I saw.
