Description

This and my next few uploads are going to be pieces cut out of original Mark Trail strips from the 1970s. Some have dates on them and others have no dates, or signatures. These were obtained from the same source as the full strips, which was a creator of the strip, so they are authentic, and I am posting as much information as I have about them. The seller says he doesn't know why these were cut up. After reading online that fans were suspicious that some newer strips were old stories with names changed and, in some cases, they thought the art was the same or very similar, I have some theories... I wanted to have a few pieces partly because the art is still enjoyable, and partly because of the history of the creation of the strip involved. Even if there was some repurposing of old strips, it's interesting to me that what is quite possibly evidence of that does exist.
