Ed Emshwiller - "The Lords of Quarmall" - Fafhrd & the Gray Mouser

We picked up a few pieces of original art, as well as several pulps and other goodies, at last weekend's Windy City Pulp and Paper Convention. Here's one of the paintings we acquired.

By artist Ed Emshwiller, it's for a story in one of our favorite sword and sorcery series, the Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser saga by Fritz Leiber. This appeared on the cover of the February 1964 issue of Fantastic Stories of Imagination, illustrating part 2 (of 2) of "The Lords of Quarmall" by Leiber and Harry Fischer.
