DescriptionOAAW #8 end page 6: This is not an EC page by Krigstein, but rather one of his last gigs for DC before jumping ship for EC Comics in 1953.Great 2/3 end page to “Toy Story” where you can see Krigstein showcasing his cinematic breakdowns that he brought to EC, a technique of slowing the action down in wordless, almost-repetitive panels. Every panel of this beauty deserves a comment! The more intimate bonding moments in between battles are where you get a sense of these characters and why you should care if they win or lose. Krigstein's storytelling and pacing on a unusual sized comicbook page is superb to be self contained for a gag that is like a newspaper Sunday.
