DescriptionSpider-Man 2099 remains one of my favorite comics to this day and I’m always glad to add another beautiful page to my collection! While Rick Leonardi might be the nicest guy in comics the Leonardi/Williamson team is definitely one of the greatest penciller/inker teams ever. This page perfectly illustrates how dynamic comic pages used to be even if they were just a dialogue scene between a few characters. Leonardi ratchets up the tension with every panel and no repeating talking head shot in sight. Do better modern comics!Update- Sold 2/23 Social/Sharing |

Modern comic scripts are a lot more decompressed and this page would turn into a whole issue with one word at a time back and forth and the repeating stats are baked in. Besides, who wouldn't want more Leonardi and Williamson introducing us to these Thor types of the future?

😄 touché! More Leonardi/Williamson would always be a good thing even if it was repeating stats.

Thanks Matt! I was a man on a mission but I think I ended up with a couple nice pages. Picked up both of these and then had cocktails on the patio with my wife so not a bad birthday.

Such a strong organic quality to Rick's stuff and this is a great example! Nostalgia factor's high, too, with these early 2099 issues :) Congrats!
