Description
"The Sleeper Strikes!" dialogue by Stan Lee, June 1968.

The first Sleeper Cap story is a favorite of mine. This page is from Jack's second Sleeper story. Scan doesn't pick up an erased figure of Nick Fury in the fourth panel behind the word balloon, "The only problem is--I don't know how it works!" Margins have Jack's dialogue suggestions, although they disappear along the edges. Syd Shore's inks are nicely done. I'm very grateful to have a piece of Kirby history! He was indeed the king of comics and an imaginative storyteller. Thank you to the previous owner for allowing it to leave his collection.

This is Marvel method at work as King Kirby and Syd Shores work to set up the story here with Cap, Fury, and the sonic key!  Silver Age done right!

You probably meant panel 4. The wonderful Syd Shores inking is almost ruined by the coloring. Marvel is doing a lousy job when reissuing these old comics. Top-notch page.
