This was my first sketch in my Disney Sketchbook! Bill Morrison did the original art for the official 1989 movie poster for THE LITTLE MERMAID, plus the cover art for the subsequent VHS release. So, I took the opportunity at Heroes Con 2022 to ask him to kick my book off with Ariel, and this couldn't be better! Disney characters all have very classic looks, and this is classic Ariel at her best!
