Description

This is a little piece from the earliest days of Crossgen. One of the company's flagship books, Meridian should have been the perfect book to help Crossgen bring in a new audience. Josh Middleton and Dexter Vines understood the assignment and brought such beautiful lines to this book.

Only recently orphaned by the murder of her parents, Sephie puts her trust in the wrong guy as Josh and Dexter clue you into with that last panel. They did a fantastic job of always letting the reader know that Ilahn wasn't on the level while still giving us reason to believe Sephie would think he was.

Crossgen was a hotbed for new talent for some of today's greats. It leveraged the veteran talents who didn't get as much out of it, but those who emergered like Middleton made the most out of their opportunity and his talent is evident with this Universe foundation art.
