Description

Black Lightning and friends set out to rescue a former gang member’s family. I thought Newell’s art in this special was phenomenal. Pen, ink and gray, black and white watercolors. DCU Holiday Bash II, “‘Twas the Night Before Kwanza” p. 2 (21st of issue) (1998).

Wow! Wow! Wow! What a stunning page! I love the watercolors used here. They give the page a dimly lit feeling that enhances the look of Black Lightning's powers. That bottom panel is simply gorgeous!
