DescriptionMy one and only commission from Heroes Con 2022 and I feel like what I lacked in quantity I made up for in quality. As always, Joseph was a pleasure to work with and I was absolutely floored when he pulled this piece out of his portfolio, it's a jaw dropper in person. I know Shiklah is an oddball request for most artists but he really put his best work into it and I'm unbelievably happy with the result.Big thanks to Joe and Kristina for making it a fun and easy request and for the great conversation at the show. This is not a character Linsner draws often and you can tell he took the time to get everything right as this hits just as strong as characters he has worked on for years.

It was actually the first time Joe had ever heard of the character. We talked about about how her costume and imagery were very Dawn adjacent and I offered alternative choices but he thought he could have a lot of fun with it. I was not going to complain :D

Great pose, and love the all the colors throughout! Purples, greys, reds, and the fact the background's done lighter vs the figure - nice contrast, baby. Congrats!

Oh man, this simultaneously fills me with such joy and sadness. It's an absolutely stunning piece, congratulations! The sadness comes from the fact that I've been emailing Joe about a Shiklah commission since early 2021. He said never heard of her, I explained her and sent references, he liked the idea etc.

This is an unfortunate tale and I'm sorry you were unable to get a piece from Joe. I too began this journey in 2021 and can only say that I had a lot of communcation with Joe about the piece and he was excited to give her a try. Hopefully you two can connect on a piece in the future. Thanks for stopping by!
