Description
Happy Fourth of July everyone! This is a Dueling Dealers win from last year. It is Neal Adams art for “A True Story of Scouts in Action” from the April issue of Boy’s Life for April 1962. It is an informative piece that reminds us to play it safe and don’t mess around with fire. BREAK THE FIRE TRIANGLE! I tried to prevent tragedies, but it looks like Billigan, the Captain, Anthony and his majestic momma have made their way into the show.

Geez Marcus!  This stash looks at least twice as big last year's.  Was there a 2-for-1 sale or something?  Well, whatever you do, please don't blow up your art collection.  Have fun and Happy Fourth!

Art? What art? All I see is a cache of explosives that might be used to do something crazy that's never been done before. Like, I don't know, storm the nation's capital or something crazy like that!

Just remember, I know it seems like 10 fingers is a lot, but please don't be another Jason Pierre-Paul!

Light it on youtube, like those videos that break the newest IPAD with a golf club!

And happy 4th!

No matter what, early Neal Adams art actually drawfs the fireworks.

Remember kids, always soak your OA in a bucket of water on Fourth of July Eve BEFORE you leave out the ginger ale and jalapeño poppers for the fireworks fairies.

Not one person asked if you are going to light the fireworks with the artwork!

Awesome Adams page!  Even if you're only using it for scale here...

VERY cool piece, Marcus!  I always used to love the 'True Scouts In Action' stories in Boy's Life magazine back when I was a scout (although this one is a little before my time...).  What do you think ever happened to Jimmy, the fire-banishing hero of Troop 345 in Memphis, TN.?  I'd like to think he became the patron saint of fire-prevention among OA collectors, and so invoking his good name in this context here is a pretty solid move, Marcus. :)  Well played, sir!

Cool piece, Marcus - congrats! - and happy 4th, everyone!

Hey Marcus,

Congrats on another Neal Adams page!  Also an early congrats on your new hook hand -- just kidding.  Be careful with those fireworks my CAF brother!

Something tells me that unicorn poop is dangerous! I hope you don't need to break the fire triangle. Good luck and happy fourth!

I hope the fire triangle was good to you and lit up all of the fireworks accordingly.

Early Adams, already very cool Adams! Nice rarity dug up by the DD's, a show not to miss, for sure...

Did the artwork survive the blow up and blow out? We need to know.

The art yes.  The dolphin and unicorn did not.

I loved that Retro Firework. I was very impressed with Freedom Fireworks this year and very disappointed with Phantom.

Many congratulations, Marcus, on a superb piece of art!  And with a potentially explosive set-up to boot!
