Scenes like this are now made famous by the movie many years later, but this great interpretation and imagination visualized it and no doubt influenced them.

Well said, Marcus! The Tolkien artwork created in the 1970's from the animated films to the calendars greatly influenced how people perceive Middle Earth today.
