The controtions and offbeat anatomy takes Spidey to his roots from the Ditko era in the Marvel monster age. Before people identified him as a superhero, it could have been a monster underneath the costume if that direction proved to be more popular. This page shows off the freedom and power he had in this title as writer and artist as Todd could do no wrong.

As an adult, it's clearly Liefeld inks, but as a kid it was so much fun guessing who inked what page of this issue :) Very fun pickup!!

Fantastic Spider-Man page! Love that top panel with a full-figure Spidey and all that webbing! Beautiful work by McFarlane and Liefeld!

Love these kinds of pages where Spidey is swinging along musing about how things are once again going sideways for him in some way. And it's a McSpidey to boot! Major score!
