Description

Yellowjacket kidnaps the Wasp taking her to a secret headquarters and is physically abusive, grabbing her wrist. More subconscious evidence of Hank Pym's abusive nature to her. He elaborates on his "murder" of Hank, somehow still preserving the wild notion of wanting to join the Avengers.

George Klein was my favorite inker on Big John's Silver Age run on this book.

Some of my favorite Avengers art!  Love Klein's inks on Big John; look at that interplay of black and white in the bottom two panels--so gorgeous.  Congrats!

Klein went above and beyond on these inks. Another lovely addition to your Avengers catalog.

The last panel is chilling and portends a dark history in the Hank / Jan relationship

These late '60s Buscema Avengers (plus Subby & Surfer) books hooked me like nothing else Marvel was doing at the time. There was something more adult about the emotion and sexuality in JB's drawing, a place no one else was going at the time. It really is landmark stuff.

I have always loved Hank Pym and his many iterations. Such a great idea that he could show up as Giantman or Antman or Yellowjacket. I hated what shooter did to him as he was a favorite of mine! Great page!

Hank's mental challenges are in full display here and I think set the stage for his later breakdown under Shooter. His latest incarnation as an Ultron Pym hybrid is logical extension and one of my favorites!

Absolutely wonderful! I loved this story when I first saw it and still do now. This page is in the JB artists edition too I'm pretty sure. Mazaltov!!

Classic issue!  The artwork is off the charts good with stunning design and impassioned visuals to match that melodramatic dialogue!  No wonder he's able to win her hand in marriage.

Great, historic page! The shadow over the Wasp in the second panel is perfect for the mood of the dialogue. Then the dynamic angle in the third panel adds to Yellowjacket's menace.
