DescriptionClark Ashton Smith art, most likely done between 1915 and 1922. From the collection of Samuel Loveman, who showed Smith's art and poetry to H.P. Lovecraft in 1922. Soon after, Lovecraft wrote Smith what can only be described as a fan letter, kicking off a 15 year correspondence between the two that ended only with Lovecraft's death.
