Description

This is page 8 from the story "There's a Party in 3-G" drawn by Tom Sutton in Giant Size Man-Thing #5. Tom put an ad in the RBCC sometime back in the mid-1970s where he was selling the art from the entire story except for the splash page. I immediately called him up and bought the pages. I remember during our brief phone conversation that we talked about Paul Gulacy (who Tom inked on MOKF). This page shows some use of transfer type zipatone (as opposed to the type of zipatone that was cut out of sheets and pasted on, this was applied with a burnisher). Sadly, I sold this page long ago so we'll have to make do with a Xerox that I kept in my files.

Fantastic page, and really great to be able to read your story of how you came to own it. Sutton's work on Man-Thing was just superb. The writihing, organic forms really bring out a sense of a moving bog.
