Description

Happy to pick up a Garcia Lopez/Rubinstein Deadman page for a good price. I’m ashamed to say JLGL was definitely someone I overlooked in my youth because I was mainly just exposed to merchandising art but once I saw Cinder and Ashe and the first Deadman mini he worked on I was hooked! I’ll be on the hunt for a reasonably priced Jonah Hex page too at some point but for now I’m glad I was able to pick up a page that actually has Deadman on it and a little bit of the flair for interesting layouts that I love about Garcia Lopez’s work.

There are certain creators and characters that just work. Jose Luis Garcia Lopez made Deadman his own in the 80's and his revisit here shows that same storytelling that characterized him for more than a decade. From thoughtful observer to being very impassioned, Deadman lurks about to show us his reactions to every story beat.
