Description

Spike heads out on a Ski Trip with his old college buddy, Clifford Dietz. Is it me, or is Clifford an unintentional self-insert for Bob Budiansky?

One of my goals for the year was to get at least one page from the Marvel Transformers run that wouldn't break the bank. I know there's no Autobots or Decepticons on this one, but Spike is the binary bonded partner to my second favorite Autobot, so it's a happy day at Casa de Derek! Thanks Anthony!

Really cool page, and glad you can cross this off your bucket list. Road trips to ski/snowboarding is common where I'm from, so super cool page to me. And I may or may not have taken off a semester from college myself haha

Technically 1988. Cover Date is April 1989, but it was on sale in December of 1988.

Makes sense now. I never read this series and was unsure when it was out, but the square edges on the car brought me back to my youth. Awesome page and makes me want to look a little more into the series. Thanks for sharing.

Spike is an Autobot even if he is human (not counting the "Autobot Spike" episode of the cartoon). Congrats on the pickup!
