Legion of Super-Heroes homage to X-Men #141

Anthony Carpenter has a whole collection of homages to the "Days of Future Past" cover by John Byrne and Terry Austin (note the background sign crediting them). He was willing to let this one go, a treat for Bronze Age LSH fans. A big team like this is perfect for the poster design.

Fun fact: John Byrne says that even for the X-Men covers that he drew, he did not design them. Ed Hannigan was the artist who designed UXM #141, perhaps inspired by a Golden Age image of Batman and Robin in the spotlight.
