Now that's what a #1 cover should look like. Love the composition. Really interesting how the space background stops halfway down. The whole team looks great, but really love Rocket at the bottom. Congratulations my friend.

Really great first issue cover! I gotta say, this is one of those rare times where I feel editorial made the right decision with the changes made for publication. If the piece were to have remained in black and white, then I much prefer Ryan's version. But given that it was going to be colored for publication, it wouldn't have worked well with all that empty space on the bottom half. Editorial knew something would have to be done with the coloring and I think extending the outer space background to cover the bottom half was a sound idea. Kudos, brother!

Excellent to clearly and proudly show every character! They should have kept the center column and left the sides blank and white.to make the characters stick out more.

Michael Ryan is an underrated artist in my book. His art has a timeless feel that looks like it would be at home at any point from the 1970s to today. This is a great pickup!
