BEAUTIFUL pair of Perkins pieces you just posted, ASBC! Wow - talk about our hero making an impact! Fantastic splash-worthy panels of Swamp Thing here (and I love that background in panel 1!). The "frills" around Ivy's panel 2 really add a nice organic texture around the edges. Ever since Wrightson's time on the book, every brilliant artist has expertly used shots of Swamp Thing's eyes to allow us to peer into the "windows of his soul"... and has anyone done it as well as Mike Perkins? So many great examples from this run, and your panel 3 here is downright exquisite. Mike's talent and subtle touch is all over this thing - congrats on grabbing such a signature page from this epic run!
