Description

So I have had an obsession with the old DC mini-series Stalker by Paul Levitz, Steve Ditko and Wally Wood. I wish I had a page from the series as I think it was one of the best meshing of the Ditko/Wood style.

Wood can often over power an artist, but with Ditko he was a true inker enhancing the artwork and not taking it over. It could be because Wood respected Ditko's work and did not feel the need to use Ditko as just a layout artist. Both Ditko and Wood was obvious in the work done on this series.

I had Doug Hazelwood do a Stalker #1 cover recreation from blue lines and it turned out great.

Somehow Alex and I were talking about a redo of the cover without blue lines and Alex reimagined the cover. Keeping true to the Ditko/Wood spirit but making a cover he thought and I agree was a more dramatic take on it.

Alex is great artist and so very easy to deal with - Thanks Alex another awesome piece of art.

Looks cool with the steps leading up to an entrance to a dark tunnel in the wall, but it turns out to be the shadow of his foe, which may be us as he's staring a hole through us.
