Description

This delightful sketch of Monroe before her fame as a Hollywood actress is from the pinup collection of Daniel Vancas in Carmel, California. He sold it from what he believed was a cache of small pencil life studies by the veteran Hollywood artist Ted Withers who died in 1964. I saw no reason to doubt this and placed it in a vintage velvet lined frame appropriate for the setting and for the eventual legendary figure to look her best.

Dimensions: 14.25x16.75x2.5 ins.(frame), 5.5x8.5 ins(drawing).
