Description“… I DIDN’T MEAN…”— As a reader this is a key moment in the series. While writing Preacher Garth Ennis did this in an amazing way. All we loved Cassidy. Then, Ennis started to show us little moments about Cassidy’s past until we, as readers, were suspicious about him. Cassidy seemed to be a nice guy. We knew the truth at the same time as Jesse did. This fact damned him. A violent and brutal moment of the series. I remember that when I finished reading this issue (this was page 22) I thougth the same thing that Jesse thaught while he was looking up to the sky seated in a bench near Central Park… “Cassidy…” Social/Sharing |

That first panel is all sorts of amazing with Cassidy all in shadow and with bad intentions. Contrast with the end and you can see that range of emotion Dillon was able to get out of these, by now, fully developed characters.
