I thought there would be more time� I�ve been a fan of George Perez for a long time , and I had met him a few times before I started collecting art to have comics signed and he was such a nice man.. like unbelievably nice. When I started collecting OA , getting a Phoenix by him was on my list.. but as most of you probably know our lists get long and distractions happen , then real life happened and almost unbelievably George was taken from us in a blink. A legend lost..

By a stroke of pure luck a Perez mega fan listed some extra Perez sketches for sale (he has a lot) and one amongst them was this beautiful Phoenix. Now I was able to add George to my Phoenix collection!

With him filling in the costume like that, that's a Dark Phoenix. Great work on the hair blown out like that.

Most Perez con pieces are just stills/portraits.

I love what he's done with her hair.

'It adds so much more to the piece.
