Unnamed Elmore Piece

This was my second purchase of 2022. I’d been waiting to post it, as Heritage listed it as a published piece and I believe I own the book it appeared in and wanted to post a pic of the published version. I’ve finally figured out I packed the book away in 2020, and I probably won’t get to dig it out until 2024, so I’m posting it now.

It’s weird, but I looked at this picture and thought “this is what Alias would have looked like if Elmore had created her instead of Caldwell.” I have no idea why that popped into my head, but it did. I never read Curse of the Azure Bonds or the other novels with Alias, but I always thought she was cute back in the day. That was about a decade before I finally figured out I had a thing for redheads.

Dula Luck being what it is, a few days before I won this an internet stranger showed me the box art from a European release of the Curse of the Azure Bonds computer game. Apparently the license decided redheads don’t sell, and touched up the hair on the Caldwell painting for CotAB so she was a blond. That’s some blasphemy in the Church o’ Dula, that’s for sure.
