Description

This is an extremely special piece for me. Bob Layton has done some great Cover Re-Creations. But I gotta say this is my favorite. It was done to honor George P�rez. But in addition to honoring George, the pieces were created to help raise money for Cancer research, in the name of George P�rez. But for me personally I have lost my Yiayia and Aunt to Cancer. The cause is very personal to me.

The art itself is done on 11"x17" art board in full color. Regarding Laytons coloring it is very detailed. For shining effects (on the Gauntlet, the stones and Thanos) he uses either white paint or drops of white out to show the shining effect. Layton signed the piece slightly above Spider-Man and noted below his signature "In Memory of George P�rez".

A very powerful image then as it is now. More meaningful as well, now that it has served a good cause to honor Perez's legacy.
