Description

Feeling I could use now a word "stunning"... Just see how Raymond has made the shadows and lights in the panels by cross-hatching! And... no correction marker was used! The final result presenting so nicely depth and shadows. But not ending there... see also the nice interior in the background: feeling like stepping into a film noir movie ;-) So, when I saw this, I was sold immediately ;-)

The art is from the story "Whom the Gods Destroy" (sometimes also stated as "Monkey Business").

The additional photo presenting IDW's book where it is printed (maybe so far the best printed example?), about 245x67mm, and the original artwork is 4-times bigger (circa 505x135mm)

Really cool!  It's great control to be able to ink those crosshatching tones without flaw.

A real beauty...that cross hatching over the entirety of a character's face always leaves me in awe. Such a bold approach to adding tonality to to his figures.
