A striking vision! The imagination to build this world is staggering. The red background is a perfect deep color for the network of neurons to appear so clearly.

Powers is the one artist that confounds me. His work seems beyond human imagination! This piece leaves me speechless. The bottom portion of the painting adds such an incredible and bizarre flair to the piece. Such a masterpiece!

Totally agree. I like lots of SF artists but Powers holds a special fascination. His paintings always felt so "alien" to me. His covers were the ones that popped out to me on the book racks when I first discovered SF as a kid. They still do!
