Typically delicate and intense illustration by Ian Miller, who was, I think reaching the end of his love of the Rotring by 1990.

Ever since I first encountered his work in 'The Tolkien Bestiary', it has been a source of fascination - and as a child - fear for me. A completely unique and unmatched talent; secret gardens, unnamed terrors, worlds within worlds within worlds...
