DescriptionNo Hulk November continues, DC style!A great Freddie Williams II (pencils and inks) splash page with inset panels from Flash Vol 2 issue 242 with Flash doing typical Flash things. Love the movement and electric effects on the page, and the bottom tight shot of the face has a great expression. As a dyed in the wool Hulk-o-phile and Marvel zombie, DC does hold a strong place in my collectors heart primarily due to the early nostalgic impacts of the Superfriends cartoon from the 70s. And Flash and Green Lantern were favorites from the series along with the big 3 trinity. Not decided what comes next, back to Marvel? Stick with DC? Social/Sharing |

To Flash the comic’s saying, "Is it right that Hulk is gone?"
If only Dave had a Freddie, baby run to there?

Definitely an example of the art losing something in the coloring process. Williams' black and white original is full of the energy you want to see in a Flash comic. It's an outstanding piece of OA.

I go away for a minute and the CAF world goes topsy-turvy! Is the Hulk wearing a Flash costume? 😉 Love the concept and stretch, Dave. I always dug the energy that Freddie Williams brought to the speedsters. He got the job, and kept the motion constant, frenetic, and CHARGED. And the layout for this splash is perfect to accentuate all that, too. Nice pick-up!

I mean if you're gonna get a Flash page, GET a Flash page! Killer splash up top by just as cool are the zooming out then zooming in...zooming panels :) These are definitely some of my favorite pieces - a nice spashly shot with some storytelling panels, too. Congrats!
