X-Men Issue 183 Page 6 by Salvador Larroca and Peter Milligan

I have loved Salvador Larroca's art for many years. His work on the X-Men, Iron Man, and NewUniversal made me a lifelong fan. Years ago, when I thought the page did not fit the focus of my collection, I sold page 22 from the same issue as this page, X-Men Issue 183. I realized after the sale that Salvador had reached the peak of his willingness to expend multimedia effort on a monthly series with his efforts on this 5-issue story: The Blood of Apocalypse, written by Peter Milligan. Salvador was on the forefront of the mainstream pencils-to-digital-inks movement with his work on X-Treme X-Men, but ON ONLY THESE 5 ISSUES will you see him produce pages featuring his pencils, inks, and markers. The gray tones could be produced by ink wash, but I challenge Salvador to prove my marker assertion wrong :P
When I saw another page from this unique prime Salvador period surface, I pounced WITH MIGHTY BATTLECRIES AND REVELRY!
In the wonderful top panel, we see (clockwise from bottom left) members of the 198: Collective Man, Diamond Lil, Peepers, Skids, Arclight, Beautiful Dreamer, Mammomax, Erg, John Greycrow, Karma, Colossus, and Havok! Lest we forget, Fever Pitch leans his flaming skull into panel 2, to round out a marvelous page full of misfits. Thanks, Anthony Snyder!
