Description

Aztec: The Ultimate Man # 1 1996

Aztek arrives in Vanity when Piper attempts a robbery because his daughter has been kidnapped. Bloodtype, a ruthless crimefighter assaults Piper and is about to kill him when Aztek intervenes. Bloodtype and Aztek have a battle which leads to a large explosion in which both Bloodtype and Piper are killed. Before Piper expires, he tells Aztek his name - Curtis Falconer - and asks him to save his daughter. Aztek adopts the dead man's name.

Aztek came out of nowhere and gets his own series on the strength of Morrison and Millar's writing. Great stuff mid 90's with DC playing the hot hand!
