DescriptionThis series had the humorous premise of DC characters taking on the roles of Marvel's Fantastic Four. At the end of the first issue (and the beginning of the second), this newly formed team encounters a hologram of Tom Strong, the sci-fi adventurer from ABC Comics' universe which Alan Moore had obliterated at the end of his Promethea series. Was DC going to let that intellectual property lie dormant? No way! And Ivan Reis' tight and expressive pencils on the series were both terrific and fantastic, so there! I like how he used the eraser to create whorls of light in the background. But the pencils are light and didn't get fully captured by my camera, so I used photoshop to increase the contrast for the benefit of your viewing. Social/Sharing |
