I picked this up during the recent Comic Art Live event as I'm a big fan of Tex's art and was happy to get a nice example with the Hulk.

I admit I wasn't the biggest fan of the 1999 series written by John Byrne, mainly because it undid a lot of great Peter David storylines. However it did have some nice art by Ron Garney and others.

This particular issue had an interesting concept where different people recounted their interactions with the Hulk from their own perspective. Each chapter had a different guest artist, with Texeira filling in for this 6 page chapter.

An image to be prized as it shows a mighty toss and the Hulk's powerful follow through! It's as big as any image on a cover!

I loved Texeira's work in the Hulk Annual and am familiar with this page, but never realized it wasn't from that same Annual. I don't recall Tex having done a fill in issue on this series, but that really great. A great image of the Hulk throwing an overhand right at the car, but somewhat disturbing that he's sending it towards 3 fire fighters!
