Description

Written by John Ostrander and artistic chops provided by a number of artists, this was an interesting little 4 part limited series with the JSA returning from Limbo. I bought it for two reasons: The Spectre and Tom Mandrake (although I do love John Ostrander's writing). Tom Mandrake's was my introduction to the Spectre and has always been my favorite Spectre artist. When I bought this, I was just starting to collect and not sure how to find the artists and buy from them directly ... and they didn't have websites yet.

So when this popped up on eBay I grabbed it. Still love the vengeful Spectre on the bottom!

Mandrakes's textural, organic inking approach suits this series really well. A beautiful page overall and what an incredible money shot at the bottom!
