DescriptionIssue #30 of the current volume of New Mutants celebrates the 40th anniversary of the X-Men’s youthful misfits! Receiving giant-sized treatment the issue is written by Vita Ayala and Alyssa Wong, and features penciled art by Alex Lins, Jason Loo, Emma Kubert, Roberto Poggi, and more. Marvel is calling it “a mosaic love letter dedicated to the mutant youngsters who have become the beacon and hope of a new generation of X-Men.” Featuring four short stories within a story, these two pages (posted separately) spotlight Rahne Sinclair (Wolfsbane) and Warlock shadowing Doug Ramsey (Cypher) on what they think is his birthday.Kubert's pencils are a lot of fun. Poggi’s inking maintains the energy and heart to these pages. My recent New Mutants itch needed some Warlock and Rahne. These pages came along at just the right time. Poggi inks over Kubert printed blue line pencils. Social/Sharing |

I should've known you were only teasing us with the first page. It looks like Poggi handles Kubert's pencils quite nicely. Thanks for sharing the fun!

Apparently I only checked the box to turn on one of the pages last night, so I was a little tardy with realizing and flipping on the second this morning. I'll just tell everyone it was because I was busy stalking Cypher and Sunspot at the mall with Rahne and Warlock.

let's ink through the mall you won't be sorry.
Put on your mutie-mosaics,
And your cool Jeff Wedding-coat,
At the mall havin' fun is what art's all about.
I haven't done my homework yet...
That's okay.
And you know how Xavier gets...
Whatever.
I don't care 'cause all my friends are gonna be there
Everybody of the age
Throw every last care in page
Let's go to the mall...
