Gunslinger Spawn #12 pg 12 - Flashback to 1800's

I’ve very much enjoyed the Gunslinger Spawn series, largely due to the art & character design. I really do love the western motif. The series is largely set in present day, but there are glimpses of the old west, and those are the pages I’ve really been drawn to. I had been wanted a page that dealt with Javi’s past and featured scenes from the 1800’s. Finally in issue 12, we got this page which highlights the origin of Javi’s rage. Getting revenge on those that attacked his sister (it’s still not quite clear exactly what happens to her) has been an ongoing theme since the series started. Here we get glimpses of the attack and the violence caused by this group of criminals that are now in the sights of Javi.

The layout here, again, just feels so incredibly cinematic. I can see this scene playing out as our hero speaks about his past and the flashes of memories are showcased! Just another great example from Brett & Adelso!
