DescriptionFresh off the scanner! Really love this page from Alan Moore's Terra Obscura. From the story, "S.M.A.S.H. of Two Worlds!" The Golden Age heroes collide with their contemporary counterparts of the modern day. The Fighting Yank doesn't even recognize his own daughter..! Fun stuff! Yanick Paquette is so great, and Karl Story's inks are super-slick.Social/Sharing |

They give more depth and emotional weight to the golden age characters than they have ever gotten if they were in the stories from their own era.

This was a fun series with fabulous art. Those two middle panels show Yanick at the top of his game.

Thanks Michael! Somehow I missed this series when I was reading all the ABC stuff back in the early 2000's. But you're right, it's a great series and Yanick's art is just perfect!

Questions, questions, questions. Is Alan Moore a giant, or merely a guy with a lot of hair? Makes him look bigger if you know what I mean? Sort of like a cat when it thinks it might have to fight and puffs itself up. Who said you do not get interesting, thought provoking stuff from putting up marks on paper for the perusal of others?
