Description

Another work of magic on paper from young maestro Matteo Scalera. The shift from gestural, forceful, nearly brutal sweeping movement, to sensitive, almost frail, delicately rendered detail within the same panel is really breathtaking. Page 7 from the Batman, One Bad Day: Mr. Freeze one-shot. Image area slightly smaller than industry standard, about 9"x13"+.

Power packed panels with motion coming across our view or projecting toward us in Scalera's energetic ink strokes. A winter's night makes everything look more crisp including the impact of these effects.
