A great Ed Emshwiller cover prelim for Super Science-Fiction June 1957. The art editor put a check mark on the margin of this approving it with a note to Ed that said "make girl prettier." And he did!

The girl may be prettier, but the prelim has an emotional pull of pain and peril which would have made this girl more effective in luring an audience.
