Description

Tim Lane Belligerent Piano Weekly Comic Strip dated 2-27-12 Original Art (Riverfront Times of St. Louis, 2012). Lane's epic graphic novel, revealed in brief installments, charts a troubled journey through the badlands of the American soul. The present episode poses the threat of a back-alley ambush. Riverfront Times is a free-spirited exercise in investigative and exploratory journalism. Belligerent Piano is essentially a film noir on paper, in the manner of Will Eisner and Frank Miller. Lane also is known for such Fantagraphics Books titles as Abandoned Cars and Happy Hour in America.
